Dr. Paul A. Boelen works as an assistant professor at the Division of Clinical and Health Psychology
of Utrecht University.
He also works as a clinical pyschologist/psychotherapist at the
Ambulatorium of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at the same
university. He is supervisor and therapist of the
Vereniging voor Gedragstherapie
en Cognitieve Therapie (Society for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy).
Paul Boelen graduated as psychologist in 1996 and obtained various clinical qualifications in the following years. In 2005 he obtained his PhD with the dissertation "Complicated Grief: Theory, Assessment, and Treatment". His research is (still) mainly concerned with factors which influence grieving problems and the treatment of these problems, both in children and adolescents and in adults.
